Sereita N. Cobbs is ESPN’s Senior Director of Fan Experience. Sereita creates events for sports fans that deepen their loyalty to ESPN. She leads the design, development, and execution of premium fan activation events around the NFL Draft, NBA Finals, The Last Dance documentary series, various collegiate sports championships, and the WNBA All-Star Game. She is also the Co-Executive Producer of the annual espnW Women + Sports Summit (espnWSummit.com), a two-day program focused on creating positive change and opportunity for women in sports, and the yearly one-day espnW Summit, NYC event.
Before being promoted to her current role, Sereita was the Director, Digital Video Production, Integration & Events for espnW. She managed digital video production, content integration, strategy, and event production for the espnW brand.
Before espnW, Sereita spent three years with ESPN Digital Media and the ESPN Digital Products Group, coordinating the design, development, and launch of multiple ESPN mobile applications. She also co-developed and co-designed a new video/content on-demand Apple iOS iPad application featuring film, television, magazine, and book content.
Sereita previously worked in ESPN television production as a Coordinating Producer for the creation, development, and launch of the weekday morning SportsCenter, the debut of the afternoon editions of SportsCenter, and SportsCenter at the X-Games. She was also the producer of “Cold Pizza,” “First & 10,” and the original version of “First Take.”
Before ESPN, Sereita spent 10+ years as a television producer and programmer in Washington, DC. She worked for ABC Sports, America’s Most Wanted, Washington, DC Public Television affiliate WHUT, and Maryland Public Television’s Wall $treet Week with Fortune.
Sereita earned her Bachelor of Arts from Howard University and a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television (currently the School of Cinematic Arts). She also holds professional certificates from the Fordham University Fellowship in Media Leadership program and the Cornell Digital Transformation Certificate Program.
Sereita is also a leader in ESPN’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
