Senior Director, Marketing Strategy and Implementation
300 Entertainment, Warner Music Group
Shy Ferguson is a St. Louis, MO native who earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at The College of Wooster in Ohio. During her studies, she interned for Sway Calloway as a journalist. Eventually, she went on to work as a publicist for The Purple Agency, a Black-owned boutique PR company, where she worked with a wide range of clients such as Timbaland, JoJo, Andra Day, McDonald's, BET Network, and many others.

After 4 years at Purple, Ferguson transitioned to 300 Entertainment, an independent record label, as their first in-house publicist. During her preliminary years at 300, Shy led press campaigns for marquee artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Gunna. Her unique publicity methods garnered attention after sending snakes to media partners to announce Young Thug's first Young Stoner Life Records’ compilation project, Slime Language. Off the back of this experimental campaign, she was offered the opportunity to join 300's marketing department.

Seven years later, Shy currently acts as the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy & Implementation at 300, now acquired by Warner Music Group, where she executive experiential marketing campaigns for artists like Cardi B, PinkPantheress, and Ravyn Lenae. She’s a part-time professor at Parsons School of Design, teaching Social Media and Communication to graduate students.

Outside of work, she’s a basketball enthusiast, a weird shoe collector who often immerses herself in celebrity memoirs and action films.
