John Acunto is the Co-Founder and CEO of Infinite Reality (iR), an innovation company powering the next generation of digital media, commerce, and community through AI, spatial computing, and other immersive technologies.
A globally-respected creative visionary and passionate advocate for creators, John has worked with leading technology companies including IBM, Apple, eBay, Amazon, and Facebook. Throughout his career as a serial entrepreneur, he has spearheaded five successful exits and developed groundbreaking technologies focused on helping creators and brands own and monetize their content in hybrid digital realms.
Prior to Infinite Reality, John served as founder and CEO of display, growing the social commerce platform to a 160-person unicorn.
His earlier ventures include founding 212Db, the company behind Play Gig-it and Rock This – revolutionary social gaming platforms where top musicians could perform virtual concerts and engage with fans. These platforms were acquired by Nyxio in 2014.
During the dot-com era, John pioneered digital distribution as CEO of Outernet, a fully automated 50,000 sq. ft. retail facility where customers could purchase and download digital media through a breakthrough technology platform.
A sought-after speaker on immersive technologies, the creator economy, and more, John's achievements have earned him recognition as Inc. Magazine's "Man to Watch," three Addy Awards, and several technology achievement awards.
He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Florida and a master's degree in Data Science from Harvard University.
