Founder and Chief Executive Officer
INGENIUS
LaTecia Johnson is an entertainment executive and entrepreneur who has spent more than 15 years at the intersection of culture, community, and technology. As Founder & CEO of INGENIUS, she’s built a next-generation operating system that maximizes marketing programs for brands and enterprise teams, connecting them with cutting-edge creators that push culture forward. The platform also provides full admin frameworks for advertising, brand and campaign management, analysis, workflow orchestration, and more – allowing brands to focus on bringing higher engagement for their business. In addition to INGENIUS, LaTecia also currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Visionary Rising (VSNRY) – a strategy & innovation studio scaling million-dollar brands and talent. While separate but complementary businesses, LaTecia has combined her passions of brand building and design (VSNRY) with data and execution (INGENIUS) into an established one-stop shop for brands to build loyal customer bases and convert passive fans into becoming evangelists. More importantly, LaTecia’s mission centers around supporting brands who value creators across music, sports, and entertainment, seeing them as media companies and the ultimate corporate collaborators.
Spanning over more than a decade, LaTecia’s career has included stints at Fortune 100 companies such as Apple, Microsoft, and Nielsen Media, as well as high-growth startups such as Decent Labs, A Cloud Guru, and more. Most recently, she was the Head of Growth at FORMLESS – a technology company creating a decentralized digital economy and building blockchain solutions to simplify rights management, payment distribution, and revenue sharing directly with fans. Here, she led creator initiatives and overall customer lifecycle for the organization. Prior to FORMLESS, she was the Global Music Partnerships lead at Royal, a platform that enables artists to sell revenue from streams directly to fans. She delivered category-defining activations for global acts such as Nas, Diplo, The Chainsmokers, and Royce 5’9” while championing campaigns for rising artists Yemi Alade, and 27Delly. On top of that, she spearheaded strategies to educate artists, managers, distributors & label teams on web3 engagement along with leading the charge on agency partnerships.
In the past, LaTecia has also worked with clients such as ABC, Amazon, Bacardi, Beats by Dre, ESPN, Disney, Facebook, Viacom (BET & MTV), WPP, Walmart, YouTube, and Vevo, among others. Originally from Tampa Bay, LaTecia now splits her time between Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles, California.
