Under her leadership, Yahoo made its long-awaited return to the Super Bowl after more than 20 years with an interactive campaign starring Bill Murray, launched buzzy collaborations with Anti Social Social Club and Away, and brought playfulness to social media with viral moments like the “touch grass” keyboard and a “horse mouse” created with Pablo Rochat. Her team’s creative approach has earned industry recognition, including Axios HQ’s Internal Comms Team of the Year.
Beyond the work, Sona is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders. She heads Yahoo’s Women’s Inclusion Network, serves on the board of USC’s Center for Public Relations, and is an outspoken advocate for the adoption of AI in marketing and communications.
