Bryan Biniak is the CEO of Balance the Mix, a 501c3 non profit corporation founded collaboratively with Songtradr to develop globally scalable and measurable solutions for more equitable access to music talent. Balance the Mix is engineering products and services that enable authentically human storytelling and commercially impactful advertising and marketing programs. For the past 4 years, Bryan served as President & CMO of Songtradr Group and its 10 operating companies including Bandcamp, Massive Music, Big Sync Music, and 7digital. He is also the founder and Chairman of 8 year old connected vehicle technology company Connected Travel. Bryan previously served as an EIR with NGP Capital, Nokia’s Corporate venture capital group, investing in Virtual and Augmented Reality businesses. Bryan served as General Manager & Partner at Microsoft, and Global Vice President and General Manager of Nokia’s Global App Store, application development tools and Developer Ecosystem for its smart devices business later sold to Microsoft. He served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Mobile and Messaging at American Greetings Corporation where he built Def Jam Mobile, Univision Movil, and Sports Illustrated Mobile content businesses. He was the founder and CEO of interactive television company Jacked which was sold to Roundbox Technology (ATT) and COO of PWC / YourMobile, the largest platform in the world at the time for mobile content, which he sold to Vivendi Universal. He was the founder and CEO of MusicZone, backed by China.com, and founding VP Business Development for Harmonix Music Systems, creators of Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Central. Bryan holds a BA in Internal Relations, Business & Economics from Boston University, as well as 5 technology patents. He currently serves on the boards of Boston University College of Arts & Sciences, New Roads School, Scouting America, and Emerald Bay Development Corporation. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 3 sons.
