Mal Glowenke is a pioneering force in the lesbian podcast scene, turning rejection into a successful platform that highlights queer voices. When traditional media overlooked her vision, Mal, alongside her partner Mathilde- used her community’s support to create "Made It Out," which quickly gained popularity, attracting over 400K followers within its first year, and received recognition as a 2024 Webby Award Honoree for Best Video Podcast Series and in the Best Limited-Series & Specials: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging category in 2025, as well as earning a 2025 GLAAD nomination for Outstanding Podcast. The podcast, consistently ranking in Spotify’s Top 20 Society & Culture US Chart, features Mal’s raw discussions on the experiences of queer women.
