She Runs It
Lynn is President and CEO of She Runs It (formerly AWNY), a 501c3 not for profit organization that exists to pave the way for more women to lead at every level of marketing and media. In that pursuit, Lynn works closely with corporate executives, influencers and members across the industry to develop programs that empower women to achieve their professional goals at every stage of their careers.

Lynn joined AWNY in 2012, and immediately embarked with her Board of Directors on a journey to reimagine the organization. Recognizing the industry had become more than just advertising, and more than just New York, they looked to rebrand the organization, expand into new geography, and reinvigorate the mission.

Fast forward to 2022:

AWNY rebranded to She Runs It in 2016, and on Lynn’s watch the organization has grown to nearly 8,00 members spanning 14 countries

She Runs It operates the industry’s most robust mentoring program with 700 mentoring pairs participating

In 2017, Lynn orchestrated an alliance between She Runs It and Diversity Best Practices to launch #Inclusive100, the industry’s first data-based tool to assess and accelerate diversity and inclusion across the marketing industry. To date, the 50-company consortium has completed three annual benchmarking assessments and conducted quarterly roundtable conversations with participants to surface and share best practices

The She Runs It Foundation has given nearly $1.5 million to women across the industry for education loan grants

She Runs It merged with mBolden (Women in Wireless) in 2020, fortifying the not-for-profit’s position as the largest member organization to serve women in marketing, media, and tech

In 2020, Lynn pivoted She Runs It from live events to all virtual twice weekly to keep women strong, current, connected, and included at a time when women were leaving the workforce in record numbers

In 2022 she championed the launch of START, a program developed with @digitalundivided to give women of color entrepreneurs in marketing, media and tech access to resources and mentoring that can help transform ideas into new businesses.

Prior to She Runs It, Lynn’s career spanned digital media roles in entrepreneurial and corporate environments such as Online Publishers Association, Washington Post, and Mastercard. She is a digital pioneer who co-founded Multimedia Resources, LLC in 1993, which was ranked by Ad Age and Adweek as one of the industry’s top 100 interactive marketing services firms in 1997, 1998 and 1999.

Lynn is a proud graduate of Boston College and received her MBA from NYU. She has two grown children, loves racquet sports and anything on the water. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband George.
