Gordan Dillard is a decorated music industry titan with a passion for pushing artists to the next level of success. An entrepreneur with extensive experience at major record labels, television networks, and through his own independent management ventures, Dillard is a multi-faceted industry powerhouse who has spurred the growth of some of the most widely known musicians of today.

Dillard began his career at Motown Records in 2009, a New York City staple that transformed the music industry since its inception in 1958. Working in the A&R department under Sylvia Rhone, widely considered the most influential female executive in the business, Dillard spent two years at Motown before joining BET while simultaneously working on his own management company, The Untitled Group.

Dillard quickly found success through independence, landing a Top 40 hit on Billboard with Bryson Tiller’s “Exchange,” and managing a major label artist and two Grammy nominated producers that worked with Drake and Travis Scott respectively.

In 2018, following 13 platinum plaques and three Grammy nominations under Untitled, Dillard made the move to Los Angeles and partnered with Maverick, the acclaimed management company that includes other industry giants Larry Rudolph, Guy Oseary, and Wassim “Sal” Slaiby. This partnership led to Dillard managing one of the industry’s biggest breakout artists – Doja Cat.

After such monumental professional success, Dillard took the initiative to begin sharing his knowledge with emerging talent, volunteering to mentor under the “Black Music Executives Are The Future” internship program created by the Culture Fusion Agency, BMAC, and Audiomack in 2022.

Dillard has built a roster of talented, emerging musicians that have not only broken the mainstream music industry but redefined it. Ultimately, this has always been Dillard’s professional driving force.

“All of the team members on these management teams have a responsibility to ensure that these artists reach their ultimate potential, and we contribute to that every single day. It motivates me to see where an artist was four or five years ago and to see where they are now. I’m inspired by their growth and how we all work together to make it happen. I want to leave a legacy of being a passionate person, a caring person, and someone who never gave up.”
