Anne Cambria is the Senior Vice President, Marketing for Brand, Retail, Creative and Insights at Sephora. In her role, Anne and her team are responsible for leading the development and execution of the retailer’s brand and marketing strategies, overseeing central marketing planning, campaign execution, and the activation of key seasonal and cross-category moments. Anne also oversees retail and in-store marketing, marketing for key tentpole partnerships and initiatives, and the central Creative team – implementing a cohesive and consistent brand vision across all channels.
Since joining Sephora in 2017, Anne has played a pivotal role in shaping Sephora’s brand platform, including leading the launch of the award-winning campaign “We Belong to Something Beautiful” in 2019 with her team. This initiative became a cornerstone in Sephora’s commitment to fostering a more diverse and inclusive beauty retail experience. Anne has spearheaded a number of important initiatives for the retailer including leading the marketing for the Sephora at Kohl’s partnership and championing campaigns that support BIPOC brand founders. She also furthered Sephora’s mission to create the world’s most inclusive beauty community by leading work such as the limited content series “Foundation of Belleza,” which celebrates Latinx founders and their stories tied to generational beauty, and the documentary film “The Beauty of Blackness,” which follows the trajectory of iconic Black-owned cosmetics brand Fashion Fair.
Prior to her role at Sephora, Anne had an extensive career at Gap Inc., working across Athleta, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. Her diverse experience encompassed various marketing functions including brand marketing, partnerships, company strategy and marketing research. Anne earned her bachelor degree in business from Santa Clara University and currently lives in Mill Valley, CA.
