Claire Trbovic is the Global Head of Product at SMG. She has spent over a decade in retail marketing, with experience spanning both agency and brand-side roles across UK and global markets. Having held strategic positions at Canon EMEA and The Walt Disney Company, Claire rejoined SMG in 2021.
Since returning to SMG, Claire has held a number of senior leadership roles across the business, spanning Retail Media Networks, media buying, and the commercial leadership of SMG’s martech platform, Plan-Apps. Claire also previously led SMG’s global Incubation Hub, helping to shape the company’s innovative approach to technology and drive the development of disruptive new capabilities, including proprietary AI-driven tools.
Today, Claire leads the Product and Design divisions across SMG’s growing Plan-Apps ecosystem. Under her leadership, SMG has developed pioneering capabilities such as Smart Planning — a first-of-its-kind solution that uses AI and machine learning to better predict campaign planning and performance, particularly within the in-store retail environment.
In recognition of her contribution to innovation in the industry, Claire was awarded the 2025 Women in Retail Media “Tech and Data Pioneer” award.
