Megan Baumann joined State Farm in 2012 following a decade in insurance operations and customer experience strategy at various Property/Casualty insurers. In her current role, she oversees the execution of all integrated marketing efforts and leads campaign manager teams.
Megan is a seasoned brand and marketing thought leader with 20 years’ professional strategy, branding, and marketing/PR experience, including 10+ years in formal leadership roles. During her tenure at State Farm, she’s played key roles in the development of its enterprise brand strategy, creation of a new brand identity system, and the creative platform launch that saw the reinvention of Jake from State Farm and return of the iconic “Like a Good Neighbor” slogan.
Megan is relentless in her promotion of the iconic State Farm brand and global marketing powerhouse, and passionate about contemporizing and creating growth and relevance well into the future. She thinks out loud, works out details on paper. Always asks “Why?” and is devoted to the Rule of 3. She has a metaphor for (almost) everything.
A central Illinois native, Megan obtained her B.A. in Risk Management from Illinois Wesleyan and MBA from Illinois State. She has also obtained multiple insurance and financial designations from The American College and LOMA, as well as a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell University.
Outside of work, Megan and her husband, Nathan, keep busy with four kids, travelling and taking on never-ending home remodeling jobs where she plays the role of Master Pinterest-er, and to a much lesser degree, Actual Helper.
