Neil Shah is an award-winning marketing leader with deep experience transforming and growing some of the world’s most iconic brands. Neil has spent a decade at drinks multinational, Diageo and is currently Global Brand Director of the Whisk(e)y Portfolio based in Amsterdam, where he oversees 24 brands. Whilst at Diageo Neil has also served as the Head of Guinness Great Britain, leading the iconic beer brand to become the number one pint in British pubs for the first time ever, accounting for one in every ten pints sold across the country. He has also been Global Marketing Director, Smirnoff in New York and led the Ready-to-Drink portfolio across the Europe region.
Before joining Diageo, Neil held various strategy, commercial and marketing roles at Virgin Media and began his career agency-side at Splendid Communications. He is an alum of The Marketing Academy, a Board Member of music licensing start-up SoStereo and a regular contributor to the marketing industry. Neil is passionate about creativity as a business driver, consumer psychology and embedding brands in culture.
