For nearly three decades, Adweek’s Brand Genius Awards have represented the marketing and branding world’s consummate honors. Each year, a distinguished panel of our senior editors convene to identify the most creative, colorful and ultimately successful examples of brand building across 10 major business categories. While the achievements of each recipient vary, each has demonstrated unique ideas, a willingness to break with convention, and has successfully advanced his or her brand’s prestige despite formidable competition and a challenging business climate.
The crowning honor is an award that recognizes not just the preceding year’s marketing efforts, but a career’s worth of exemplary brand building. This distinction is the Brand Visionary Award, bestowed on pioneering executives who have not only built successful brands, but influenced culture with exceptional products, groundbreaking ideas and pioneering leadership.
Also, in recognition of the excellent work undertaken in the not-for-profit sector, the Brand Save Award will honor and celebrate the growing importance of cause-marketing that benefits philanthropies, charitable groups and other public-benefit concerns.
Adweek will profile each of the Brand Genius recipients in a special issue of the magazine, and honor them in person at our gala awards dinner. The evening’s gathering is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of some of the most gifted executives working today and to share the spotlight with their in-house teams and agency partners.
The 2022 Brand Genius Gala will be held on Thursday, September 15th at Brandweek in Miami, Fla.
