George Schmidt is a highly accomplished senior executive with expertise in strategic planning, multi-channel marketing, ecommerce and merchandising leadership. Currently George is
President and General Manager of celebrity-backed eyewear brand Privé Revaux where he brings extensive experience and a track record of exceptional success as a change agent in elevating brand awareness and executing best in class
growth initiatives.
He began his career in outdoor apparel brands, spending thirteen years at L.L.Bean in
B2C and B2B marketing and inventory planning roles before joining Orvis, first as the executive in charge of merchandise planning and later as the Vice President of Marketing, Brand, and Ecommerce. In
2016 he moved his family to Cincinnati to join Frontgate Home Furnishings as SVP of Strategic Planning, Ecommerce and CRM.
George earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bates College in Maine. He was a member of the NEMOA Ecommerce and Catalog Marketing Organization Board of Directors, President of the Manhattan Associates Advanced Planning User Group and has been a member of the Direct Marketing Association Business-to-Business Operating Committee and the University of Southern Maine School of Business Alumni Association.
George and his family now live in Mason, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. In his time with premiere outdoor retailers George fell in love with outdoor sports and is a passionate fly fisher.
