Chief Marketing Officer
Converse
Sejal Shah Miller is the Chief Marketing Officer at Converse. Her mission is simple: to future-proof Converse and leave the brand in a stronger position than when she found it. She is a diversity, equity and inclusion champion who fosters a culture of collaboration while delivering breakthrough impact in fast-paced, highly competitive marketplaces. This is evidenced in Converse’s recent campaign, “Create Now. Create Next.” which redefines the "ad" as an act of co-creation and offers established and emerging musicians, athletes, artists, and creators from multiple cultural intersections a platform for discovery. She has also played an instrumental role in spearheading Converse’s coveted collaborations with partners such as Comme des Garçons and Rick Owens, while deepening the brand’s relationship with long-time collaborators like artist and musician Tyler, the Creator, and professional skateboarder, Alexis Sablone. Under Sejal’s leadership the brand has multiplied it’s presence on consumer-right social platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat, and Bitmoji. These efforts have strengthened Converse’s brand affinity with Gen Z – Converse topped the Ad-Age Harris Poll of Gen Z’s favorite brands in 2022 and 2023 – while helping to drive sustainable business growth.

Before coming to Converse, Sejal held marketing leadership roles across the beauty, toy, and entertainment industries, where she was instrumental in driving growth, relevance, and award-winning work. As SVP/Global GM at Mattel, she led the successful growth of iconic brands including Barbie, Disney Princess, and UNO. During this time, she played a pivotal role in architecting Barbie’s turnaround and evolution to modernize the brand to be more accessible and relatable for a broader, more diverse audience. She has also held marketing leadership roles at L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, and JP Morgan Chase.

In 2023, Sejal was named to the Forbes Entrepreneurial CMO 50 List and recognized as one of the Most Innovative CMOs in the World in 2021 and 2022. She received her B.A. in Economics and Psychology from New York University and an MBA in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School. She resides in Boston with her husband and their two children. Her go-to Converse look is a pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars, ripped denim jeans, tee shirt and blazer.
