Ignacio "Nacho" Meyer is President of Univision Television Networks Group at TelevisaUnivision Inc., the world's leading Spanish-language content and media company. In this role, Meyer contributes to TelevisaUnivision's business expansion and transformation and helps integrate his team based in the United States with the content and operations teams located in Mexico.
With over 20 years in the media, music, and entertainment industry, Meyer strategically promotes the portfolio of brands' innovation, including Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and TUDN. He brings the best and most diverse talent, executives, and teams to help create and develop the most watched and awarded Spanish language shows in the U.S. and ensures continuous engagement with the Hispanic to inform, entertain and empower the Hispanic audience.
Previously, Meyer was the Executive Vice President of Music and Non-scripted Entertainment for Univision’s Entertainment and Music division in the U.S., driving the entertainment and music groups’ global strategy, managing Univision’s unscripted programming, and developing business opportunities with and for entertainment and music partners.
Meyer led the day-to-day operations, creative development and strategy of unscripted programming, including primetime Music Award Tentpoles (Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, Latin GRAMMY®), reality shows (Mira Quién Baila, Reina de la Canción, Nuestra Belleza Latina), primetime specials (El Grito, Christmas, New Year’s Eve Special), and “El Gordo y La Flaca,” Emmy® award-winning show and one of the iconic and longest running franchises for Univision Studios, as well as being responsible for acquired, co-produced specials with and from third parties. In addition, Meyer also oversaw the Talent Commercialization and Licensing business units, as well as the Music and Sound Design team for the Networks and Studio.
Before joining the Entertainment and Music division, Meyer was part of the Music and Special Events team, which focused on consolidating a bi-national music strategy alongside Grupo Televisa while contributing to the evolution and reformatting of Univision’s Award shows, including “Premio Lo Nuestro,” “Premios Juventud” and the Latin GRAMMY® Awards. Also, Meyer led the development and operation of Univision’s cross-platform content, live events, and non-traditional business unit, Univision Live, strategic alliances, new direct-to-consumer businesses, and expanded experiential marketing across Univision programming brands.
Meyer joined TelevisaUnivision with extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, with a proven track record in starting and operating strategic growth initiatives and driving innovation and business development. Prior to joining Univision, Meyer served as CEO at Wireless Latin Entertainment and was also a managing partner at KONEXXION Enterprises, a boutique agency dedicated to bridging the gap between entertainment assets and media companies. He also served as the director of Business Development at the Latin Recording Academy.
