Susanne is part of the Partnership Strategy & Development team with responsibility for overseeing and exploring global partnership opportunities under The Olympic Partner (TOP) Programme and driving the strategic evolution of rights and opportunities that are offered through an Olympic partnership to meet the needs of existing and future marketing partners. Susanne is a qualified lawyer, starting her career in the sports industry over 20 years ago in the commercial legal team of UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations (soccer). During eight years in this role, she also managed the on-site rights protection programmes for the UEFA European Championships and was seconded to support the rights protection programme for the FIFA World Cup. Prior to her current role at the IOC, she managed legal and business affairs support for the Olympic marketing programmes - both at a global level under the TOP Programme and at a domestic level for the organising committees of the Olympic Games. She also managed and coordinated the commercial review of plans submitted by future hosts of the Olympic Games and Olympic Winter Games. Susanne is Scottish, holding British and Swiss passports. She spends her spare time either cold water swimming in the Swiss lakes or running through the fields and vineyards near her home (when she’s not running after her three children).
