Erin McPherson is Vice President and Head of Content and Partnerships at Verizon where she leads the Consumer Group’s content strategy business and operations. Erin’s team manages content partnerships across all major broadcast and cable networks, movie and television studios, professional sports leagues, content creators, tech platforms and digital publishers and creators.

Since joining Verizon in 2016, Erin has led a number of disruptive and innovative partnerships, including groundbreaking deals with Apple, Disney and Discovery; an inventive renewal with the NFL; an expanded relationship with the NBA; exclusive 5G innovation partnerships with Snap and Niantic; and a next-gen creators’ platform.

Prior to Verizon, Erin served as Chief Content Officer at Maker Studios where she brought together a diverse community of YouTube creators and global franchises. She also played a key role in the sale of Maker to Disney and the subsequent integration. As Yahoo’s VP and Head of Video, Erin led the company’s foray into original video, growing the programming roster to more than 80 ongoing series, branded entertainment and live specials. She joined the company as VP and Head of Business Development for Yahoo Media. Erin previously practiced entertainment and media law, served as in-house counsel for LivePlanet and z.com, practiced entertainment and intellectual property litigation and served as a judicial clerk.

Erin is active in the media and technology communities. She serves on the Board of Directors of The T. Howard Foundation where she promotes diversity in media and entertainment and also serves on the Board of Directors of NATPE, for the film, television and digital industry.

Erin graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and received her B.A. magna cum laude from Middlebury College. She maintains homes in both New York City and Los Angeles.
