Sarah Kramer is the chief executive officer of Spark Foundry USA. A global media agency brand within Publicis Media, Spark Foundry’s bold vision harnesses a startup spirit with a powerhouse soul that melds an entrepreneurial, innovative business approach with the full resources, capabilities, and marketplace clout of a larger network. In her role, Kramer serves as a steadfast and visionary leader for Spark Foundry USA team, as well as an innovative and trusted partner to all the agency’s clients. Kramer is dedicated to building and evolving Spark’s unique mission of bringing heat to brands by melding data and creativity, precision and scale, digital and traditional media – to drive higher engagement, affinity, and transactions for clients. A 20-year veteran of Publicis Groupe, Kramer started off at the company in a media buying role at Starcom and has held ascending domestic and global leadership roles across every area of the business, which includes a stint in China as the interim CEO for Starcom Greater China. During her tenure at Publicis Media, Kramer has honed her expertise in a variety of categories such as automotive, CPG, finance, liquor, QSR, retail, and technology with blue chip clients including Coca-Cola, GM, Kraft, Microsoft, Mondelez, P&G, and Walmart. Outside of the office, Kramer is dedicated to giving back to the community. She is an active board member and coach for Safe Haven, an organization that ensures all girls have the opportunity to grow their confidence and learn how to play as a team through basketball; an active participant of Girls on the Run, an organization that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running; and a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is also an executive sponsor of She Runs It (formerly AWNY), an organization designed to encourage and promote women’s role in the advertising industry. She is dedicated to building industry-best practices and elevating strong women to be the leaders of tomorrow. Under Kramer’s leadership, 50% of employees who are VP and above at the agency are women. Kramer is also part of the diversity and inclusion council at Publicis Media, where she leads the evolution and expansion of diversity and inclusion initiatives at Spark Foundry. Throughout her career, Kramer has picked up numerous awards for her leadership and innovation. Most recently, she was recognized by She Runs It through their Changing the Game Awards as a leader that is “changing the way an organization is aligned to pro-actively meet new challenges.” And in 2019, Kramer was named one of Adweek’s Media All-Stars. Kramer received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, where she is a member of the Tippie College of Business advisory board: School of Management Advisory Council (SOMAC).
