Stephanie Wu is the editor-in-chief of Eater at Vox Media, the leader in modern media, with an unrivaled collection of pioneering brands and passionate voices that inform and entertain millions of people every day.
Eater is the only food publication with writers and editors based in 20+ major cities; a national features team covering industry issues; an Emmy-winning video team dedicated to showing viewers how restaurateurs, chefs, and producers work; and original storytelling across leading social video platforms. In her role as editor-in-chief, Wu oversees the editorial organization and is a key partner in building upon the publication’s editorial excellence and supporting the business and growth of the Eater brand. She leads a team of over 75 staffers, including writers, editors, video creators, and audience team members. She is also responsible for the publication’s reporting, storytelling, and service journalism across all formats, audience growth and engagement, and brand expansion.
Wu joined Eater in 2022 as executive editor, coming from Condé Nast Traveler, where she was the digital director. She previously held editorial roles at Town & Country, Travel + Leisure, and Mic, overseeing lifestyle topics including food, travel, and culture.
Wu co-founded and is editor-at-large of Mochi Magazine, the longest running online publication for young Asian American women. She has a B.A. from New York University and lives in New York City with her family.
