Diana Pessin is Chief Marketing Officer for BritBox International. She originally joined BritBox in April 2023 as SVP, Global Marketing for BritBox International. Under Diana’s stewardship, BritBox has achieved incredible growth and increased recognition for the brand. By scaling her in-house media team and optimizing mix, she’s driven double digit growth in BritBox’s brand awareness, and a sizable 25% year over year growth in subscriptions. Her team has led title campaigns that have helped to increase overall engagement by 20%, while driving new audiences to the service; standout titles include “After the Flood,” “Blue Lights,” “Time,” “Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy,” and “The Sixth Commandment,” which won two BAFTAs earlier this year. Furthermore, 50% of BritBox’s direct-to-consumer subscribers are now on an annual plan, demonstrating the audience’s affinity to the brand, whose mission is to bring the best of British television and culture to audiences in the US, Canada, Australia, and the Nordics. An award-winning marketer with extensive senior leadership and management experience in product, direct-to-consumer, and data-driven marketing, Pessin joined BritBox from NextPhase Advisors, a consultancy she founded to provide marketing, media, and data strategy services to companies seeking to accelerate their growth. Previously, Pessin spent almost 20 years at HBO, HBO Max, and WarnerMedia, where she worked in roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as SVP, Media Strategy, Audience & Analytics. She was a key catalyst for the successful launches of HBONOWandHBOMax,andled the team’s transformation to a data-informed marketing team that supported a direct-to-consumer model. Prior to HBO, Diana worked in marketing roles at Colgate Palmolive and Sportscapsule, a start-up venture, as well as a CPA for a public accounting firm. With expertise in brand management, e-commerce, digital media, subscription, and performance marketing, she has worked across every stage of the marketing funnel to drive customer growth. In 2019, she was honored with the Broadcasting & Cable Digital All-Star List and the Multichannel News Wonder Woman in Streaming Award. Diana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She currently serves as an advisor to the Streicker CulturalCenter and to Spell Entertainment, a startup foreign language content streaming service.
