Amy Lanzi
Chief Operating Officer
Publicis Commerce
Amy Lanzi is responsible for the products, processes and partners that power Publicis Commerce, a global service dedicated to designing modern commerce experiences for Publicis Groupe agencies and their clients. She oversees a centralized team of media, experience and CRM practitioners from agencies such as Spark Foundry, Zenith, Starcom, Arc, Saatchi & Saatchi X, Digitas and Razorfish.
During her time at Publicis Groupe, Lanzi has trained 200+ employees on Commerce and its importance in driving client business outcomes; identified and crafted commerce-focused partnerships with current partners such as TikTok, Snap, Google, Meta and Amazon; secured new relationships with Commerce enablers such as Roundel and Kroger; and developed unique Power of One commerce solutions for clients like Walmart, ABInBev, Campbell’s and more.
Prior to joining Publicis, she spent over 20 years at Omnicom’s retail marketing agency TPN, where she was responsible for driving the agency’s East Coast-based business and leading the expansion of its service offering. As one of TPN’s original employees, she helped grow the company from a team of 30 to 350 and expanded its presence to include offices in Chicago, San Francisco, Bentonville and London.
Lanzi is a recipient of Campaign US’ 2020 Female Frontier Awards and 2019 Digital 40 Over 40. She was also named a finalist in the Path to Purchase Institute’s 2020 Women of Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding brand marketers, retailers, agency executives and solution providers for their achievements in influencing shoppers along the path to purchase. Her broad range of expertise across categories and deep understanding of customer-centric shopper experiences has led to multiple awards for client work, including two Bronze Effie Awards for Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel augmented reality activation with Snap and Dunkin’s “The Charli” campaign, featuring popular TikTok personality Charli D’Amelio. The Sally Hansen work was also named Adweek Media Plan of the Year in the “Best Use of AI/VR/Machine Learning” category. Additionally, under her leadership, the Publicis Commerce team won first place at Amazon’s 2019 Alexa Cup Americas Championship, which is a global competition that challenged agencies to strategize, plan, build and pitch an Amazon Alexa skill and go-to-market plan that solves a business problem for a client.
When Lanzi is not following her relentless curiosity for what makes consumers transact, she can be found hustling in NYC with her family and enjoying compelling content, from the Harry Potter series to Scott Galloway’s Pivot podcast.
