Ian embarked on his career in Sports Marketing with a role as the Director of Marketing for the Houston Astros' Triple-A Baseball team. His journey with Lamar commenced in 2004, and since then, he has steadily progressed through various roles, specializing in Events & Sports Marketing, National Sales, Innovation, and Digital Out-of-Home Strategy.
Throughout his tenure, Ian's contributions have significantly influenced technology adoption, digital innovation, and sales strategy, positively impacting both the OOH industry and Lamar's digital presence. In his current capacity as Lamar's VP of Digital Growth and GM Programmatic, Ian collaborates with Programmatic SSPs, DSPs, and client brands and agencies to formulate strategic plans that leverage Digital OOH.
Ian's unique connections within Lamar's IT and Digital Network Operations drive the exploration of new innovations through technologies such as APIs, social platform connections, 1st/3rd party data and attribution, and interactive technologies, all while maintaining a strong focus on the core of OOH.
Ian's commitment to the industry is reflected in his past role as the chair of the Innovation Committee for the OAAA and his continued involvement on Boards and Advisory Boards with organizations like Colossal Media, DPAA, DSF, DSE, GeoPath, Cards and Culture, Three O’Clock Projects, and others.
A graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Communications, Ian's dedication was recognized when he received the OAAA Inaugural "Rising Star" Award in 2019, along with his inclusion in Baton Rouge's Forty Under Forty list.
