Steven Schwartz
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Whop
Steven Schwartz is the Co-Founder and CEO of Whop, a financial technology company on a mission to deliver everyone a sustainable income. As of March 2026, Whop facilitates over $3 billion in annual payouts to people in 144 countries.
Whop’s vision is to create the largest internet market, where people can create, connect, and transact all from a single platform globally.
The company was recently valued at $1.6 billion following a $200 million strategic investment from Tether, accelerating its vision of expanding global access to sustainable online income.
Schwartz has been building internet businesses since he was 13. He began in online forums, where he met his future co-founders Cameron Zoub and Jack Sharkey. As a teenager, he developed software to capitalize on inefficiencies in the sneaker resale market.
After years of stitching together fragmented tools for payments, community, and fulfillment, Schwartz founded Whop to serve as the all-in-one operating system for internet businesses — simplifying how people earn online.
Prior to Whop, Schwartz was CEO of Varfaj Partners, a technology and strategy firm focused on scaling online storefronts for consumer brands. Alongside his co-founders, he has launched more than 20 ventures across SaaS, gaming, and social platforms, consistently operating at the intersection of emerging technology and consumer demand. He also serves on the board of Posh, a community-driven social marketplace.
Schwartz graduated from the NYU Stern School of Business with a degree in Finance and Mandarin Chinese. He is based between New York and Palo Alto.
