Rebecca Mellinger is the Head of Impact at 11:11 Media, where she harnesses the power of entertainment platforms and Paris Hilton’s brand to accelerate global social change. She leads 11:11 Media Impact, the non-profit launched by Paris to defend the rights of children and women worldwide to ensure they can live happy, free and safe lives. Over the past two years, Rebecca has supported Paris’ efforts to reform the Troubled Teen Industry leading to the passage of five state laws, the development of the bipartisan federal Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, a novel mental health service for institutional abuse survivors, and the development of Trapped in Treatment – an investigative podcast in partnership with Warner Bros and Unscripted TV in Association With Telepictures and iHeart Media, which Rebecca co-hosts.
Rebecca graduated from The University of Southern California and is an alumni of Rise Justice Labs’ legislative accelerator. Prior to joining 11:11 Media, Rebecca was the impact producer for the PBS documentary Duty Free and the Program Coordinator for the USC Medical Clowning Program, the first United States based training and research program in the therapeutic art of medical clowning.
