Breakaway
Adam Lynn is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Breakaway. Recognized by Goldman Sachs as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs in both 2022 and 2024, and named a Billboard Dance Power Player, Lynn has built a career at the intersection of live music, culture, and creativity.

A lifelong musician and music fan who grew up playing saxophone, Lynn developed an early appreciation for rhythm and performance, foundations that would later shape his approach to festival production. While studying abroad in Sydney, he became immersed in the city’s vibrant dance music scene and fell in love with a sound that had yet to break into the U.S. mainstream. Soon after returning, he produced his first electronic show with Steve Aoki while still a junior in college.

The following year, Lynn partnered with Zach Ruben to merge their individual ventures into Prime Social Group (now Breakaway), creating a platform that helped launch the early careers of artists such as The Chainsmokers, John Summit, Travis Scott, and Kygo, among many others.

As the creative force behind Breakaway, Lynn has grown the brand from a single event in Columbus into a multi-city festival series set to span 14 U.S. markets in 2026. Under his leadership, Breakaway earned Best Festival Series at the 2024 EDM Awards. His forward-thinking vision has also led to the expansion of Breakaway into new verticals, including Breakaway Projects—a record label and artist management venture in partnership with The Orchard—and Breakaway Presents, the company’s concert promotion arm.
