Janice Tennant is a global marketing executive who found her life-long passion for marketing at an early age, with her entrepreneurial efforts selling everything from carrot cakes to t-shirts.

With more than 15 years of experience working for Fortune 500 Companies, including PepsiCo and Kimberly-Clark, Janice has sharpened her passion for creating marketing programs that meaningfully connect with people around the world on brands such as Tropicana, Quaker Oats, Kleenex and Huggies.

In her current role at Merrell, she is focused on encouraging the next generation to experience the rejuvenating benefits of the outdoors, making the trail more inclusive, and promoting a diverse vision of the outdoors – leading the Merrell team to be named Brand of the Year by the Footwear News Achievement Awards.

Janice was named Marketing Leader of the year by the 2022 Women in Content Marketing Awards. In 2021, she was listed as one of Forbes Magazine’s “CMO NEXT 2021: 50 Innovative Marketers Transforming Business” and AdAge’s “2021 Leading Women” and is recognized for her drive for results, her love of building high-performing teams and her dedication to mentoring young professionals. She is a founding member of Black Executive CMO Alliance and sits on the board of the Outdoor Industry Association.

Janice holds a BA and BPHE from Queen’s University in Canada and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
