Since Shaun joined New Belgium Brewing in January 2018, he’s helped to lead the company’s resurgence as America’s largest and fastest growing craft brewery and played a key role in stewarding New Belgium’s innovative Human-Powered Business model. With the acquisition of Bell’s Brewery in 2022, Shaun was elevated to Chief Marketing Officer – a recognition of his vital contributions to the business turnaround and an expanded role leading marketing across both the New Belgium and Bell’s brands.

Shaun has over 20 years of experience in consumer‐packaged goods including stints at Kraft Foods and Nestle Purina, the latter where he led flagship brands with a highly innovative approach to product development, branding, and digital strategy. In his time at Nestle Purina, Shaun signed Grumpy Cat to her first endorsement deal and launched the “Dear Kitten” and “Puppyhood” series which amassed well over 150 million cumulative views.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Marquette University and earned an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in Saint Louis.

In his free time, Shaun enjoys hitting highly-groomed ski runs while avoiding moguls, continuing his pursuit of BBQ brisket perfection, and occasionally picking up his bass guitar to relive his college days when his rock band opened for REO Speedwagon.
