Lauren is the Global Head of Marketing and Communications at Square, driving marketing and comms strategy globally, which includes investment decisions, optimization of marketing channels, brand strategy, analytics, marketing technology, creative execution and communications. As part of her remit, she is responsible for managing Square's entire marketing budget to ensure the company achieves its revenue and brand goals. She also directs the channel and creative strategy across all of Square’s marketing channels including search, online display, organic social and content, email, television, audio and digital video. Prior to Square, Lauren was the founder of LMW Consulting, a strategic advisory firm assisting startups and established businesses alike in marketing strategy. Before consulting, Lauren served as Yahoo’s Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Insights, where she oversaw media planning and buying, brand and marketing effectiveness research, consumer analytics and industry research. Prior to Yahoo, Lauren was Vice President of Digital Insights and Research at Viacom. She spent the three previous years at Advertising.com as Director of Research and worked at Nielsen and comScore as a Media Analyst and Product Manager, respectively.

She has been named on Forbes' “50 Most Entrepreneurial CMOs” and "CMO Next", Adweek’s “CMO Awards”, Brand Innovators "Top Women in Marketing", and Fintech Hub's "30 Most Influential Fintech Marketers." She is an AdWeek Executive Mentor and advises early stage start-ups, and is also the co-author of “Self Made Boss: Advice, Hacks, and Lessons from Small Business Owners.”
