Strategy, Operations and Business Development
SPVCE
Alex began his career in media working across several Viacom properties before leading operations, growth, and monetization strategy for the Nielsen Business Media portfolio.

Recruited by InterActiveCorp to move back to the west coast, Alex led an advertising strategy team of over a dozen highly trained thought-leaders who were at the forefront of digital marketing and advertising across properties such as Ticketmaster, Expedia, Match, Citysearch, Evite and the Connected Ventures portfolio. Alex’s team was responsible for over $79m in annual revenue and won numerous accolades and awards for their work with clients such as Unilever, Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Chevrolet, BMW, Nike, Adidas and others, creating branded and native content very early on.

From IAC, Alex re-joined the then private Nielsen Company as GM, Digital for The Hollywood Reporter and Backstage, running all aspects of web and mobile strategy, including native application development, while developing the social footprints for both brands. Alex led the digital re-launch of The Hollywood Reporter and worked extremely closely with the Razorfish, New York team on everything from publishing workflow to ad product and data visualization.

After leaving The Hollywood Reporter following the transition from a daily to a weekly publication, Alex consulted briefly for a variety of large digital media companies before joining the founding team of Woven Digital as Chief Strategy Officer. Alex ran all business development, content syndication, advertising product, mergers and acquisitions, building out Woven’s entire owned and operated portfolio. From audience segment identification, target vetting, deal-structure and integration, Alex was responsible for ensuring the company was able to scale margins well beyond competitive media organizations and was instrumental in both the Angel, Series A and B funding and ultimate sale of the company, Alex helped raise over $52m in aggregate equity financing prior to the sale of the company.

In his most recent role, Alex has been overseeing business operations for Dash Radio and SPVCE – the immersive content development division of the company, creating some of the most compelling experiences in the metaverse. Working with top-tier artists, brands and platforms, Alex has led the strategic push to dramatically evolve Dash from a pure-play streaming radio company to a full-service onramp to web3.

Actively involved in raising over $15m from top-tier VC’s and strategic investors, Alex established and grew the company from a pre-revenue start-up to a profitable leader in the space before divesting the Radio assets in late 2023. Working with clients ranging from Coachella’s Neon Carnival, the Lincoln Center and the City of New Orleans, to Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton, Boyce is consistently early to new technologies, consistently yielding impressive results for investors and clients alike.
