Julia Moonves serves as the SVP of Advertising Sales and Brand Partnerships at pocket.watch, the leading studio building kids and family entertainment franchises with the most popular digital creators in the world. Julia oversees all media and branded content across pocket.watch’s gaming division, advertising partnerships, and content distribution.
Julia plays an integral role in pocket.watch’s diversification and through identifying the fundamental needs of both content creators and brands, she created a multi-disciplinary brand partnerships division that ranges from custom video, to gaming and metaverse integrations to Children's Online Privacy Protection Act-compliant paid media. Through direct conversations with platforms, creators, advertisers and legal experts, Julia ensures not only quality campaigns, but safety for the brands, creators, and most importantly audiences, leading to large programs with major brands reaching Generation Alpha, including Netflix, Paramount, Nickelodeon, Nintendo, Amazon, LEGO and more.
More recently, Julia has also taken on a key leadership role in pocket.watch’s content sales and licensing business. Working with large streaming services to develop and package YouTube-native content into curated 11 and 22 minute episodes and series, Julia works to bring the content kids love from their favorite creators to OTT platforms across the world.
Julia’s passion around the power of authentic creators with a dedicated fan base, along with her interest in business built from the audience, led her to the world of online content creators. Before joining pocket.watch in 2018, Julia had her own digital media start-up in New York. Prior to that, she was Director of Audience Strategy at Maker Studios through its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company.
