The Knot Worldwide
Kiara Kempski, Vice President of Consumer Marketing, oversees all consumer marketing and editorial for The Knot Worldwide’s leading wedding brands across North America, responsible for driving growth, product adoption, and strategic investment. Kiara brings to The Knot Worldwide a rare background of marketing analytics, media expertise, and award-winning brand storytelling.

Most notably at The Knot Worldwide, Kiara spearheaded The Knot’s 2023 brand transformation, evolving it from a beloved inspiration and editorial brand into a next-generation wedding marketplace and e-commerce leader. This transformation encompassed a full-scale visual identity change and the debut of the brand’s largest integrated marketing campaign to date. The campaign resulted in the highest-ever aided and unaided awareness among the pre-engaged audience, plus significant year-over-year growth in signups, resulting in the most new couple registrations since 2019 for the same period, the highest awareness of The Knot Vendor Marketplace among engaged couples and a 20% increase in Vendor Marketplace sessions year-over-year. Since joining the company in April 2021, The Knot has achieved a 24% increase in couple sign-ups under Kiara’s leadership.

Prior to The Knot Worldwide, Kiara was Head of Global Programming and Brand Media for Ancestry overseeing the company’s media strategy, investment and measurement for Ancestry's largest growth channels. In her role, she developed a global branded content engine leading to an Emmy nominated TV series and Cannes Lion-winning campaigns that shaped the family history and DNA category taking them from $250M to Ancestry's billion-dollar subscription business. She also led the company's holistic DE&I strategy and multicultural marketing team. Kiara began her career in the non-profit art world in San Francisco before pivoting to fast-growth fin-tech startups. She’s a trusted, go-to consultant for high-growth brands such as Noom and various private equity companies in the Bay Area. Most recently, she was elected to the Richmond Arts & Culture Commission in California, responsible for advancing public art programs in the Bay Area.
