Kim Yates is the Chief Commercial Officer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she leads a dedicated ad sales team and fosters advertising partnerships across the AJC portfolio, including Access Atlanta, DawgNation, CoxNext, and Sponsored Events. She oversees Sales Account Management, B2B marketing, Ad Sales Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, and the AJC’s Branded Content Studio.
Before joining the AJC in early 2024, Kim had an extensive career in Ad Sales at WarnerMedia, where she served as SVP, Head of Client Sales & Partnerships. During her tenure, she contributed to major initiatives such as the launch of Adult Swim, CNN Election packages, and introduction of HBO Max with Ads.
Kim is actively involved in her community, serving as a Board Member for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and as a crochet "Blanketeer" for the Decatur Linus Project--a recent hobby!
Kim and her husband, Chris, have two children and a Chocolate Lab named Fletch. In her free time, Kim enjoys playing golf, traveling, and diving into true crime stories. A University of Florida alumna, she is a proud Gator fan!
