Tony Ressler is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Ares Management Corporation, a publicly traded, leading global alternative investment manager with assets under management of approximately $572 billion as of June 30, 2025. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Ares operates four investment groups and has more than 4,100 employees across 55 offices across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.  

In June 2015, Ressler led a group that acquired the Atlanta Hawks and has served as Principal Owner and Governor since the purchase. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Hawks Foundation and a Founding Member of the NBA Foundation, on which he continues to serve.
