Four-Time Grand Slam Champion Tennis Player and Entrepreneur
Naomi Osaka is one of the most explosive and influential tennis players of all time both on and off the court. She is the first Asian player to hold the No.1 ranking in singles and the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam. Her extraordinary tennis triumphs combined with her off-court activism make her one of the biggest global names in all of sports. In 2013, Osaka entered the WTA professional circuit as a rising star, quickly gaining fans and media attention through her powerful serve and strong forehand. Since then, she has won four Grand Slams – twice at the US Open and the Australian Open. She has won all four of her Grand Slam finals played, making her the third player in history to achieve this record after Monica Seles and Roger Federer.

In 2020, Osaka was named Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year, Adweek’s Most Powerful Woman in Sports, Forbes Highest Paid Female Athlete of all Time, and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. She has appeared on the covers of Time, Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Adweek, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Allure, and Harper’s Bazaar Japan, to only name a few.

Osaka has become a voice in activism on and off the court, shining a light on social inequality in our nation. 2020 also highlighted her love for all things fashion as she appeared at New York Fashion Week for the first time, showcasing a collaboration she co-designed with Adeam. The show garnered positive reviews from fashion publications such as Vogue and WWD. In 2021, it was announced that Osaka would become a global ambassador for the Paris Fashion House Louis Vuitton and served as Co-Chair for the MET Gala.

In 2021, she added entrepreneur to her resume, launching KINLÒ, a line featuring sun protection products that protect and rejuvenate melanated skin. In 2022, Osaka and her longtime business partner, Stuart Duguid, launched Hana Kuma, an Emmy Award-nominated full-service media company telling honest and joyful stories that tackle important issues in society, as well as sports management agency EVOLVE, representing tennis players making waves in the industry.
Osaka also serves as brand ambassador for Modern Health, helping to break the stigma surrounding conversations around mental health and providing meditations and resources for companies who value the mental health of their employees. She is also part of the VS Collective, a group of like-minded women all driven towards positive change, and was the first brand ambassador to design her own collection of sleepwear for the brand with the 2023 launch of Victoria’s Secret X Naomi Osaka.
