EJ Aguado Vice President, Player Engagement & Celebrity Relations
MLB
EJ is the Vice President of Player Engagement & Celebrity Relations at Major League Baseball. Aguado helped build the Player Engagement department from the ground up, starting in 2019 with what began as the Player Social Program. The group’s mission is to empower players and provide them with brand-building resources and opportunities. Aguado’s department manages relationships directly with current and former players as well as talent management agencies across sports and entertainment. His group also oversees the Commissioner’s Ambassador Program, an effort which began in 2023 for former stars of the game to participate in MLB programs, represent the sport at major events and support the league's international growth.

While working with current stars and their teams, Aguado and his team glean unique insights that help the organization optimize the intention behind the promotion and marketing of  MLB players. In 2025, the Player Engagement department expanded to mirror the strategic relationships created with players to begin collaborating deeper with celebrities and the entertainment industry in a similar light.

After graduating from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013, Aguado began his MLB career as a social media coordinator and new media strategist before evolving into his player marketing role.
