Global Head of Commerce Sales
Marni Schapiro leads Block's global commerce sales organization, overseeing all sales, advertising, and account management functions across Cash App and Afterpay. Marni has been instrumental in sharpening Block's Commerce sales focus, aligning organizational priorities, and strengthening how the company shows up in the market for customers globally.
Marni brings more than two decades of experience building world-class advertising and commerce businesses. Prior to joining Block, she served as Head of North America Advertising Sales at Quibi, where she built the go-to-market strategy and team from the ground up. She also played a key role in shaping Snap, Inc.'s advertising business and was part of YouTube's founding leadership team at Google, helping scale it into a multibillion-dollar advertising platform.
Today, Marni is also a committed angel investor and passionate advocate for women-founded companies. She serves on the advisory board of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia—the institution that launched her career in media and technology. A proud Los Angeles resident, Marni is an equally proud mom of three and remains deeply committed to building the next generation of leaders in commerce and media.
