Chief Executive Officer
As the global CEO of the world’ largest global media management network, Florian Adamki defines the vision and drives the business performance for an enterprise that leverages $73.5 billion in billings, 40,000+ specialists across 70+ markets, and the industry’s most powerful portfolio of Identity (Acxiom RealID™), Commerce (Flywheel), and Intelligence (Q™) assets to enable the world’s leading brands grow faster and smarter.

Adamski’s career began in 1997 in Dusseldorf when the 19-year-old aspiring journalist took a job with Omnicom to pay the rent while trying to land a job with a newspaper. By 2015, his skill as a strategist with a keen insight on marketers’ business challenges earned him the CEO seat at Omnicom Media Group Germany. Named CEO of OMG’s OMD Worldwide in 2017, he led a reorganization of talent and resources at the world’s largest media agency that took the brand from last for new business to the top of the ranking in less than a year and delivered 16 consecutive quarters of net new business growth.

During his tenure as CEO of Omnicom Media, Adamski had led its transformation from a shared services and finance hub into the epicenter of a flexible ecosystem of talent, capabilities, and technology - a model that became known as Agency as a Platform. Since its launch in 2022 the Agency as a Platform model helped OMG agencies land $17.2 billion in new and retained business.

With Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG, the fundamentals of Agency as a Platform have been adapted and expanded into Omnicom’s Connected Capabilities offer, enabling Omnicom Media’s six agency brands - OMD, Initiative, PHD, UM, Hearts & Science, and Mediahub - to go beyond delivering media solutions to designing customized Growth Ecosystems that integrate data, media, content, and commerce into a single adaptive engine that learns, evolves, and performs in real time.

Named 2024 Advertising Person of the Year by leading German trade publication Horizont, Adamski used his acceptance speech to urge the industry to balance the excitement about new technologies with commitment to the fundamentals of great marketing. “Our focus needs to remain on creating the best possible consumer response for our clients,” he said. “Human inspiration and creativity - fueled by hard work and commitment - remain at the core of that mission.”
