Brad Jakeman has a passion for developing category-disruptive business models and marketing programs that challenge the status-quo and build famous, world-class brands. Brad is a currently Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s leading Management Consultancies. At BCG he advises clients on all aspects of marketing, business restructuring, digital transformation and sustainability.
In addition to his role at BCG, Brad is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Rethink Food, which identifies, invests in, and helps scale businesses that are digitally disrupting the legacy food system to make it more equitable and sustainable. Since launching the fund in 2021, Rethink Food has invested in several companies in a range of industry verticals including alternative proteins, meal delivery, and AI-enabled carbon measurement. Rethink’s Food vision is to help create a world where healthy, nutritious food is ubiquitously available and affordable; and where the negative impact on the environment caused by how we make, ship and sell food is substantially reduced.
Prior to Co-Founding Rethink Food Jakeman spent almost ten years as President of PepsiCo’s Global Beverage Group. There he led global category strategy, brand building, design, advertising, marketing, innovation and branded content for PepsiCo’s global portfolio of beverages which includes ten of PepsiCo’s 22 Billion Dollar brands.
Jakeman’s career has spanned, fashion, financial services, entertainment and packaged goods. He has held senior marketing roles at Ogilvy, Citi, Macy’s and Activision Blizzard. During that time Advertising Age named Jakeman one of America’s “Top 50 Marketers,” The Australian newspaper dubbed him one of the “top 20 people shaping global media,” in July, 2015 he was named “Advertising Person of the Year” by the Ad Club of New York; and AdWeek included him in the top 5 of the ‘Most Indispensable Executives in Tech, Media and Marketing’ for two years in a row.
Brad currently is the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Humane Society of the United States, a board member Reporters without Borders and is the Co-Chair of the Board of the LGBT Center.
