Kimmy Scotti, co-founder of Fig.1, serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist, is a self-ascribed skincare obsessive. Though deeply familiar with the skincare space, Kimmy was unable to find — both for personal use and professionally, as a potential investment — performance-driven, accessibly priced products with intentional ingredient lists. Kimmy diligenced over 100 skincare companies in search of a strong investment candidate, but no brands in market offered the right mix of price accessibility, ingredient transparency, product integrity, customer education, and a path to sustainability. Kimmy decided to build anew alongside a community of like-minded skincare experts, from dermatologists to estheticians to cosmetic chemists, and Fig.1 was born.

Kimmy Scotti is also a founding partner at 8VC where she focuses on consumer and healthcare investments. Prior to 8VC, Kimmy served as the Executive Director of Business Development & Operations at a NY Family Office where she incubated and invested in many businesses.
