Montreal-born Khanna aspired to be a singer, even auditioning for Canadian Idol. But she eventually discovered that she had more aptitude for managing musical acts than performing in them, so the Concordia University alumna moved to New York to study the music business at NYU and began working with bands like 'Fistful of Mercy' (Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur & Dhani Harrison’s side project). Preeya joined YouTube in 2013, and now serves at the Global Head of Creator Acquisitions, leading the strategy and execution of programs that serve to onboard, grow & retain next generation top Creators on YouTube.

Most recently, Preeya’s focus has been on helping Shorts-first creators get started on the platform. She is passionate about accelerating and sustaining success for lighthouse multi-format Creators (like Alan Chikin Chow, Jeenie Weenie & Dylan Lemay). Preeya has been at YouTube for 10 years, previously working to support our top Enterprise, Creator and Public Figure partners.
