Denise Campbell is a highly accomplished, board-experienced marketing executive, recognized for driving high-impact partnerships and pioneering campaigns. She has over three decades of experience shaping the marketing landscape across sectors including consumer-packaged goods, e-commerce, consulting, and healthcare. Known for her corporate governance and strategic marketing expertise, she has held significant roles at venture-backed startups and Fortune 500 organizations, building organizational capabilities to execute complex initiatives while consistently driving customer acquisition and brand growth. Currently serving as VP of Marketing, US Oncology, at Novartis, Denise has helped accelerate the growth trajectory for the multibillion-dollar Oncology business—achieving impressive market share and marketing ROI growth and contributing to a nearly $4 billion revenue increase in under three years.

A recognized leader in marketing strategy and enterprise partnerships, Denise forged a landmark collaboration with the NFL, securing Novartis as the first-ever pharmaceutical partner in league history. She led the company’s debut in the Super Bowl with a breakthrough campaign, setting new benchmarks for excellence and earning top rankings across industries from AdWeek, AdAge, Billboard, and Forbes, and winning the Kellogg School Super Bowl Advertising Review. Denise also built organizational capabilities for enterprise-wide partnerships, spearheading multiple high-profile NFL activations including the Draft, the Health & Safety Summit, and the Hall of Fame. The partnership set a new precedent for how healthcare brands can engage with major cultural institutions, expanding what’s possible for marketing in the industry.

Previously at AbbVie, Denise was the Head of Consumer Marketing, leading the consumer marketing strategy and tactical execution across the company’s US Immunology portfolio. Under her leadership, HUMIRA, the world’s largest pharmaceutical brand, achieved consecutive years of remarkable revenue growth. Denise was also an integral team member for the integration of the $63 billion AbbVie/Allergan acquisition, the 8th largest acquisition in the pharmaceutical industry. Her extensive experience includes global consultancy work at OxfordSM, where she led the development of the marketing capabilities program for Pfizer, created a growth strategy for Unilever's Lipton Tea Division, and enhanced marketing strategies for GSK. Central to her success in any role is her commitment to coaching and talent development, enhancing both marketing skills and business acumen at the individual, team, and enterprise levels.

Denise has also served on the board at Transparent Partners, a venture-backed marketing consultancy, and Lil’ Drug Store Products, a $100 million consumer healthcare company. At Lil’ Drug, she provided insights on potential M&A activities, business risk identification, and mitigation planning, contributing to significant business growth and the company’s successful sale.

Denise’s work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Cannes Lions, the HBA (Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association) 2025 Luminary Award, four Health Clio Awards, multiple Novartis US Business Excellence Awards, the 2024 Pinnacle Award, and induction into the DTC Hall of Fame. She is a frequent speaker at major conferences such as the Cannes Festival, Pennsylvania Conference for Women, and NYC Advertising Week, and a repeat guest lecturer at Kellogg Business School and NYU’s Stern School of Business. Her educational background includes an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a BA with High Honors from the University of Michigan, and the Wharton School of Business Executive Program for Pharmaceutical Executives. Outside of work, Denise is a proud aunt, an avid equestrienne, and finds tranquility in spending time by the water. She lives in the New York City area with her two beloved golden retrievers, Cooper and Maizee.
