Speaker Bio
Adam and Ryan Goldston are the co-founders and co-CEOs of Los Angeles based Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL). As former two sport collegiate athletes, playing both basketball and football at the University of Southern California, Adam and Ryan envisioned building a company (APL) that created revolutionary products that symbolized the intersection of luxury and performance.
Today, Adam and Ryan are recognized as accomplished inventors with numerous U.S. and foreign patents including APL’s revolutionary Load ‘N Launch® Technology. With the launch of their inaugural basketball shoe in June 2010, the Concept 1, they became the creators of the first shoe proven to instantly make you jump higher due to APL’s revolutionary 8-spring Load ‘N Launch Technology in the forefoot. As a result, the Concept 1 became the first shoe ever banned in the NBA’s 64-year history for performance enhancement reasons, for providing the wearer with "an undue competitive advantage” over their opponents.
Adam and Ryan were honored at the White House under the Obama administration as part of the Empact 100 which recognizes the Top 100 Entrepreneurs age 35 and under in the United States. Additionally, Adam and Ryan were named to the 2015 Game Changers List by Men’s Fitness, the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2016 in the Retail & E-commerce category and the Los Angeles Business Journal 2016 Twenty in Their 20s. In July 2016, Adam and Ryan became the first members from an athletic brand inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA), whose membership consists of America’s foremost designers. In 2017, Adam and Ryan were selected to the WWD 40 under 40 list, and Men’s Health named APL the most innovative brand the same year. Additionally, Eric Garcetti, Mayor of the Los Angeles, declared October 12th as Athletic Propulsion Labs, LLC Day in the City of Los Angeles. In 2018, Adam and Ryan won the prestigious Born Awards Global Fashion Prize for design and performance. Most recently, Adam and Ryan were named 2 of the 100 most intriguing entrepreneurs of 2020 by Goldman Sachs.
