Fernanda Romano is the CMO of Candy Crush, one of the most popular mobile games in the world. She is Brazilian and just moved to London, UK. She started her life in advertising, and worked for several internet companies before joining the ad agency world early in 2002. With stints at DM9DDB, Lowe NY, LOLA, JWT and Euro RSCG, she has accumulated a lot of experience in several product categories and won several awards, including a Cannes Lion Cyber Grand Prix in the same year as her then agency, DM9DDB, was named Cyber Agency of the Year. The film made for the Let’s Colour campaign for AkzoNobel (Dulux) was one of 2011 TED’s Ads worth spreading and the communications platform won several other accolades, as well as becoming a benchmark across the industry as one of the first integrated platforms that positioned a brand as doing “good for profit”. In 2012 she was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Advertising by Advertising Age.

In 2012, she joined Naked Communications in New York to oversee creative initiatives in global projects, founded Malagueta, a creative and strategy practice in NYC and helped launch Naked in Brasil. She served as both ECD at Malagueta and as Naked São Paulo's Chief Creative for three years and left in May, 2015 to focus solely on Malagueta, opening its office in São Paulo as well.

In 2019 Fernanda left her company to join Alpargatas as its Executive Director of Digital Channels, becoming the CMO in August of the same year. Her responsibilities included overseeing all Marketing and Innovation for Havaianas, the largest open footwear brand in the world, selling over 250mm pairs in 2020 and Sustainability for the corporation.

In 2020 she was named Top Ten CMOs in Brasil by Forbes.
