Eric Krause is the Global Head of Marketing for the League of Legends group at Riot Games. In his role, Eric leads a cross-discipline marketing group that creates magical player moments for one of entertainment’s biggest ecosystems in the world: League of Legends
across PC and mobile. 

Eric joined Riot in 2017 and has held various leadership roles in marketing including Brand Marketing Lead for League’s competitive, social and player behavior systems and later the Director of Brand Marketing for League of Legends: Wild Rift, where he oversaw the
game’s mobile launch. Prior to Riot, Eric contributed to major global gaming franchises including Command & Conquer, Crysis, MapleStory, Mass Effect and Medal of Honor.

As a native German, Eric loves everything that has to do with cars and football. Eric’s motivation for working in games is to give players around the world a chance to escape their often harsh realities, be it socially, physically or economically. Providing a
platform that allows them to be who they otherwise couldn’t be is what drives him to show up to work with a big smile.
